Hey guys,

I am admitted into L&S and are planning to major in Data Science. What dorms are most convenient/closest to the Data Science buildings and prerequisites?

Note that going east is going uphill.

More likely (but not guaranteed) locations of classes:

  • Huge classes like DATA/STAT/CS/INFO C8: center (Wheeler, which has the biggest auditorium on campus).
  • Big classes: various (where the big lecture halls are)
  • CS and engineering: northeast (Soda, Etcheverry, Davis, Cory, etc.).
  • Math, physics, chemistry: center-east (Evans, LeConte, Latimer, Tan, Lewis, Pimentel, etc.).
  • Biology: center-west, northwest (Valley LSB, Koshland, Barker, etc.).
  • Humanities: center-south (Dwinelle).
  • Social sciences: various, mostly center-south (Kroeber, Evans, Barrows, etc.)
  • Business: east

Dorm locations:

  • Unit 1: south of campus, center-east
  • Unit 2: south of campus, center-east
  • Unit 3: south of campus, center-west
  • Foothill and Stern: northeast of campus
  • Bowles: east of campus
  • Clark Kerr: southeast of campus
