wow that’s super awesome and great news for you. I’m just super disappointed with myself that I didn’t appeal. Just because I was too lazy & didn’t think it would make a difference if I did.
@WhalesDeluxe TBH they will probably reject me at a later date. Many have valid reasons but last year 6/938 were admitted off appeals. A friend of mine was admitted off the UCLA waitlist with a 3.07 missing 3 prereqs loll. The system is pretty random so we cant win them all.

so frustrating to be waiting for this. i applied for fall 2017 and got rejected. applied for fall 2018 and got rejected. applied for fall 2019 and got waitlisted then rejected. applied this year and waitlisted again.
I don’t know how you can handle it! This year has already been so frustrating to me I’m considering returning to CC or cutting my losses and just going to UCSD for cog sci since they have a great program for my major. I was even told by a UCLA rep who visited my school and did a transcript evaluation and essay reading that I shouldn’t be concerned at all with getting in and just focus on maintaining my grades and I would be fine lolll.
I waitlisted for fun. I’m most likely going to attend UCLA still, but it would be cool to know that I got accepted into Berkeley lol, I got waitlisted because I didn’t take one of the required classes but I did now.

I refrained myself from saying anything, but we all thought the same thing 
I think they may have given freshman a date of 5/7 but I don’t think we have any specific date. I know there is a live chat on the Berkeley site you can ask.
Berkeley usually send waitlist decisions on the fist Friday of June. Maybe some people already heard back last Friday. It just so happens that they are not in this forum.
possibly, I don’t think they did though, I think since they extended the SIR deadline they didn’t have a complete list at that time. Plus keep in mind UCLA has been making heavy use of their waitlist, I feel like if they don’t release decisions soon UCLA waitlist admits may choose to attend UCLA instead. They will be less likely to recommit to another school. I think we will have a decent-sized wave this week.

“The end of this week” - Berkeley always has this weird obsession with Friday.
I just wanted to say I love this thread we are non-toxic and collaborative we should start our own college lol.
