@Bubonica that is right. What I am saying is that UCLA admissions isn’t similar especially considering the transfer waitlist last year for UCB, where basically no one was accepted. Yes it was an “exceptional” year since they overshot, but so could be said for this year? Idk. Hope we all get in though <3
So in these waves, does everyone hear back at the same exact time? Wondering if in this first wave, some may be accepted later today.
Did any math major get off today? It looks like a very small wave.
@bubonica admission is done by major. obviously you can switch in L&S, but usually what people state on their app is somewhat accurate in terms of what they will actually do at Berkeley.
Does anyone know if I accept another college’s offer before, should I send an email to inform them that I just get off from the waitlist, and I am not going to attend that college. Or it is just fine to accept UCB offer without giving heads up.
You MUST inform the other college by rescinding your own admission. This can be done on the applicant portal for that school.
@jax123456789 Fall 2020!
For those who already got off the waitlist, did anyone of you have any glitches a day or two before?
I got the glitch a day before, at maybe 5, 6 pm?
Thank you for the info! was that the four address glitch or FAQ glitch?
That was the FAQ glitch! I got the decision update at around 9 am the next day.
what are those glitches…
Anyone get in today ?
Anyone get in today ?
No glitches, no nothing here… 3.92 GPA, strong essays, international work and life experiences, 4 languages spoken… All requirements completed…I am loosing my hope…
Anyone get in today ?
No glitches nothing here as well lets all wait till friday!
Don’t lose any hope until the end of June. Students who get off the waitlist sometimes don’t enroll as well. Miracles can happen. Wait until the end of June. Yes, if you don’t get accepted by the end of this week, then you have lost most of your chance.

3.9 GPA in past 2 years have bad grades from when I was 14 taking classes over summer for fun.
Internships at the top software companies out there. I’m 18 so assuming I get in ill finish at 20, I really don’t want to go to UCSD so I am considering staying another year and just graduating at 21. I thought with a holistic review I would be the perfect candidate for Cal but it’s never a sure thing.
@ddzz66hh Hey do you know the specifics of talking with a live representative? Their Phone call or their contact us form is down. I edited a new grade(I took a 6 week fast course) after the waitlist date since it still allowed me to resubmit and it changed the green colored submission date to the 18th despite being due on the 15th. I hope they don’t view that as a late submission because all I put in a new grade that was finished after the deadline.

Wow those are some really strong ECs so I am really confused why you didn’t get in, I hope you do once other waves come in! Also based off of your name how did UCLA go? Did you finish all the prereqs? With your background however I doubt it matters as much but maybe that just shows how much they prioritize those things.

You can go to admission website:https://admissions.berkeley.edu/, and there is a “contact with us” bottom on the right side of the page.

I finished all prereqs for UCLA was TAP certified was told by a UCLA rep that I would be a for sure admit and not to stress too much… did not even get waitlisted lolll. Yet someone I tutor for fun(I enjoy tutoring) who is on academic probation for cheating missing 3 prereqs got into UCLA. I’m missing 1-2 prereqs for my major at Cal which may be a factor but I am taking them over summer. I think as soon as they see my overall GPA I’m in a bad spot. its kind of frustrating how students can get an F retake the course get an A and that shows on their transcript while I got a C in a course when I was 14 and It’s bringing me down .2 on my GPA lol. I also talked about how I started college at 16 to work part-time to help my family as my dad suffered a massive heart attack and he was the only one working. So while most students just went home and studied to get A’s, I was balancing 50 hours a week job, did extensive volunteer work(helping homeless, free tutoring), and studied to do as well as I could in classes. Idk I’m just frustrated with how everything went but life isn’t fair we just have to move on.
