UC Berkeley Fall 2020: Transfer Waitlist Thread

I submitted the course number (CRN) that shows on the transcripts and name of the course. Hope it helps

Has anyone gotten anything yet?

@PoliSciSF Just saw your comment, thank you!

Today should be a big day for acceptances ???

Are the decisions expected to be released today?

Any glitches guys?

What kinds of glitches?

FAQ glitch

I don’t think I have a glitch

Nah… I had three addresses before but recently it changes to two but never four…

What addresses are you guys talking about?

@givmethemail Does it matter if you have 4-addresses? I’ve had four for a while now.

Maybe this is too early I’m just getting bad vibes that the first wave had very few people who got accepted compared to most schools where the first wave is generally the largest. I’m starting to look into my other options and I suggest the same to everyone else.

I saw one guy heared from live chat that there would be a wave during this weekend. It might be tomorrow. I have little hope rn…

everytime i go on this thread its straight down the rabbit hole

Fr I am seeing the ucla thread counterpart and they are on their 4th wave I believe, with lots of people reporting accepted.

@givmethemail I thought they normally don’t release on weekends and it’s Friday? All these representative posts really make me feel that we are running around in circles especially when the reps themselves say they don’t actually know and the only ones who do are the people who review the applications. All responses I have seen this far have been fairly generic or straight up not accurate like how this Friday was supposed to have a new wave.

Nothing here…?

Yeah, I am utterly confused I know this is by no means a perfect assessment but the majority of my friends got into UCLA and are attending yet they are taking a large amount off the waitlist while only a couple people I know got into Cal and they aren’t attending, I thought the waitlist would be heavily used. So weird to see UCLA on its 4th wave while I’ve seen less than a handful of a number of students who got off the waitlist into Cal. I wonder if they will just cut the number of acceptances this year? I even noticed that for the 2018 Cal freshman class they under accepted and had lowest acceptance rates compared to surrounding years.

Well that could just mean UCLA didn’t initially accept many applicants and are trying to fill in space while UCB may have(again) overfilled and as a result don’t need more students. Ofc coronavirus comes into play but who knows, perhaps they anticipated that and just took in tons of applicants expecting a portion to leave.
