UC Berkeley Notice of cancellation due to partial IGETC

I am an CC transferred international student. After I submit all my transcripts to the Berkeley portal, I was informed that my IGETC is missing second foreign language part. Then I opened a case using my Berkeley email to ask what I can do to prove my second foreign language proficiency because I do speak Chinese. The biggest mistake that I made is that I didn’t notice Berkeley replied to my old CC email because I assumed I would get response at Berkeley email. Today I found my enrollment has been cancelled, and all my academic record was erased, leaving me an empty student account. At this point, what can I do? I don’t think it would be a problem proving my foreign language, but it seems like decision had been made. Does anyone hear students successfully return to school after getting the cancellation notice? Thank you guys!

You could try contacting Admissions, but they may make you apply for Spring.
It is an impacted campus.

You needed to take a language proficiency exam at a UC to meet the requirement. http://guide.berkeley.edu/undergraduate/colleges-schools/chemistry/foreign-language-requirement/

Indicating that you didn’t check your original email won’t cut it. They will wonder why you completely stopped checking an email that served other possible personal needs. You couldn’t have transferred all of your personal emails to the Berkeley account?

Berkeley expects their caliber of students to be tenacious and on top of everything.

They start next Wednesday. They opened up their waitlists and filled their classes.

So sorry.

Thank you for your advice.
