UC Berkeley Portal Astrology Discussion 2024

In the past years, rejected people could not access withdrawal form(Unauthorized error).
(UCB Portal Astrology Discussion - #676 by Manu2)
For those who could access, FTT=Accept and FFT=waitlist

Forbidden and Fft also. Hoping that the fft isn’t updated yet or isn’t an indicator of anything this year :crossed_fingers:

Forbidden and FFT.

where do you check the fft?

I think FTT was accepted and FFT was waitlist or reject depending on whether the withdraw button disappears

This explains it all

I think Forbidden were the only acceptances. Unauthorized was waitlist and reject

How do I check?

For a school that is supposed to have a top CS department, you’d think they’d be able to hide all these tells and keep results completely secret until decisions are released.

Right now we have about 50/50 forbidden/unauthorized so that alone could not be the indicator considering 10% acceptance rate

so perhaps few of those forbidden will get the change to TTF couple of days before.

FFT changed to FTT for accepted students relatively late in the process, I do not remember exactly when this happened last year, but I expect that there is someone else here who either remembers, or will search it up in last year’s thread.

so the good sign is to get forbiden instead of non authorized?

Does anyone who applied to bus undergrad have the green button???

I just looked at last years thread and people started seeing a change in source code (FFT or FTT) around 2 days before decisions came out

fellow stats major! noticed your son got into ucla, is he more inclined to go there or uc berkeley?

And only the ones with forbidden got the change?

That sounds about right.

Later on, waitlisted people admitted off the waitlist also observed a change from FFT to FTT shortly before they were admitted.

but when do you have to check if you are fobidden or non authorized? Now or just two days before?

Nobody knows for sure. Nothing says the timing has to be the same as last year - if any of this is relevant again this year at all, or that your result might not change over time as things are updated.
