Guys, decisions are coming. My Experience Berkeley Transfer coordinator just sent our cohort an email with instructions for accepted, waitlisted, and rejected students. Said there were over 19,000 applicants.

Sorry if this is discouraging. But yes, it is true that the continuing students at haas are not very welcoming to transfers.
However, all the transfers are soooo nice. I would recommend your bf/gf to do Precore the summer before transferring in to meet a bunch of their classmates before the fall
I’m curious if sociology majors are more welcoming of transfers. Because they’re likely in the wrong major if they aren’t…
Haas is the one part of Cal that has an Elitist attitude from what I’ve picked up from third party sources. If I don’t get into Cal, I would love to study at Haas for MBA, its still a great program.

But honestly… it’s not that special in my opinion. I think I would’ve enjoyed and learned a lot more had I majored in something else.
@lunavieja Eh if they’re not then it’s whatever. Any sort of elitism between continuing and transfer students is actually insane. Just become friendly with your fellow transfers and forget the rest!

my new admit tours are back! if it’s been discussed already today sorry there was like 200+ notifs and i didn’t bother lolol
@lovela I did some researching in stalking posters from last years thread, a majority of people that got accepted had the new admin tours notification. Those that didn’t were either offered Spring admission instead of Fall, Waitlisted or rejected.
The address thing wasn’t a factor in terms of a pattern.
Everyone is in groups if they have a berkeley email address.
Hi guys, its so weird, I did not think I would get into UCLA and I got in and now I am nervous about Cal. I was set to go to Davis and even did the SIR until I got an email saying I was accepted to UCLA! Anyway, lets all hope we get in, but we will see.

@GoldenState1 i checked and the notification for new admit tours was back (dated 4/27) and i was like omg… people on cc probably already talked about this as soon as the change happened LOL! thanks for the info, really hope you get in, i know how much that’ll mean to you!! good luck!!
