Does anyone know if it is possible, and if so, how difficult it is to switch majors in CNR at UCB? On my acceptance letter, it states that I was admitted to the College of Natural Resources, but doesn’t specify the major. If I was able to change my major to Molecular Environmental Biology (also in CNR), Berkeley would definitely be a contender. They are offering nearly $4k in scholarships plus work-study, something none of the other UC’s are doing. I have all major prep done for MEB.

GUYS I GOT ACCEPTED!!! I’m so happy! I was way to scared to check the portal but UCB sent me an email about missing documents from my financial aid so I checked! AHHHHHHH!! Plus the streamers are a nice touch lmao.

Congrats to all those who were admitted. For those of you who weren’t, remember this is in no way a reflection of you as a person or student. I am a firm believer of things happen for a reason. You will find your true home.
If you were rejected appeal, you never know. I have known some who were rejected, appealed and got in!

I got in but my award letter says they are giving me $0 in financial aid. I’m poor as heck so I’m really worried about this.
Really disappointed. I’m sure that for majors like CS and engineering, they don’t really care about the personal statement. They just pick from the top of the list. I don’t have 4.0 but I know If they read my essays, I would be waitlisted at least.

I was kinda surprised by this result. I purposely picked sociology because it’s a major that I have all my prereqs done for already (I applied to psych everywhere else). I think that they may have seen that I got into UCLA, and that along with my Orange County address turned them off? Idk. Other than that, maybe it’s cuz I’m finishing the second semester of English this spring semester, tho all the other Ucs didn’t seem to care about that. Oh well, I was 99% sure on Ucla even if I got in to Cal. Congrats to all the future golden bears. (bruin pride tho)
