UC Berkeley vs. CSU Sacramento

<p>okay here are my dilemmas :

  1. Financial aid: I have a full ride to CSU Sacramento because of FASFA and CAL Grants while for Berkeley I still have not heard from them yet but i know Berkeley would prob. make me take out loans and i really dont want to do that.
  2. I want to go to med school. Med school does not care about what uni. you go to as long as you have a high gpa. I maybe underestimating this (if i am wrong please correct me) but it seems easier to get higher gpa at CSU
  3. What school do you think would prepare me for med school/MCAT? Is it possible to score well on the MCAT from a CSU education (specifically Sacramento)? If there are any actual data of correlations please post it :slight_smile:
  4. Is it possible to attend CSU first and then transfer to Berkeley if i have a good gpa and EC’s/ Recs (I know and understand that it is really hard. UC’s give admissions to CC’s first)? Can Cal hold a spot for me until i transfer because I really cant imagine my family being able to pay the all 4years tuition?

<p>I would UC Berkeley is better than CSU Sacramanto .
I always preferred studying inCalifornia than any other state in the country. It has the better exposure, good faculties and lovely weather offcourse :)</p>

<p>You must get your package from Berkeley. You qualify for a lot of the same things and probably more. Berkeley is the superior school by a country mile. Period.</p>

<p>Berkeley will not defer enrollment while you attend another university. Transfer is a crap shoot and you are already in. Please call FA to talk to a live person and check you admitted student status page which has the FA information on it.</p>
