UC Berkeley vs Johns Hopkins for CS major

UC Berkeley is OOS and no financial aids from both schools. So the cost will be about same.

EECS to UC Berkeley and cs major to JHU.

Graduate school or tech industries.

We visited both schools and like them enough in different ways. No one obvious choice based on vibes. Concern for UCB is the care students can get from a big public university and a concern for JHu is a limited opportunity from a smaller CS department and east coast location.

Any advice will be really appreciated.

Berkeley. Better location, Better program, and Better outcomes. Cost probably won’t be a factor since both cost the same.

If cost isn’t a concern and you like both schools equally, I’d recommend choosing UCB. It’s a top-tier name in computer science and offers unparalleled opportunities in Silicon Valley that are often difficult to access from schools outside California.
