I got accepted into UC Berkeley and UC Davis. I know that Berkeley is the better school overall, but I got the Regents Scholarship for UC Davis, which lets me into the Integrated Studies Honors Program, gives me priority registration, and reduces my EFC to about $9000. At Berkeley my EFC will be about $12000, without the benefits that I get from my Regents Scholarship.
I applied to both schools as an Economics major, but that choice is not set in stone. I’ve heard that it’s easier to change majors at Davis than at Berkeley.
Given this situation, which school is better? Any other thoughts?
