I know that your GPA are a big factor for admission to UC Berkeley. My GPA for freshman and sophomore year combined is a 3.5 (i know its terrible!) but for junior year its a 4.125 and a 3.7 combined for all 3 years. Will it be considered that I improved hugely? Or will colleges just see my 3.7? Does this make it very unlikely that I’ll be accepted?
Also, is it possible to use AP art as extracurricular? It took a lot of time and effort and I don’t exactly suck at it so I think it should!

My friend had a 3.5 ish and got accepted there last year ![]()
Don’t give up! You definitely still have chances. Keep up your ECs, get a good SAT/ACT score, and pursue a passion. I dont think the class AP Art counts as an EC, persay, but any awards/recognition/demonstrations/shows etc etc would…
GL!

oh ok. My ECs aren’t amazing: (will be) 4 years of water polo and swim (captain 2 years of polo); only had art in 1 show; used to volunteer for homework club and i think that’s it. (possibly volunteering at a museum this summer) ![]()
