UC Berkley Engineering

I am at the crossroads where I am having to decide if I want to bust my ass and try to get into berkeleys engineer program or become a dentist.

Engineering route seems oh so simpler.

Thoughts?

what do you like? Going for a career is not like buying shoes. There is no choice needs to be made, your interest and passion should be obvious. By the way, engineering is no simpler than anything else you can possibly think of.

Oh I def know that, not aiming for the easiest subject, just easiest and worth it amount of time, I’m hearing the investment in dental school isn’t good, mill in debt - etc.

Engineers start at like 50/60k…in the bay?

Let’s put it this way. Engineers will be in high demand for the foreseeable future, and yes, their starting salary is usually around 50-60k, but it goes up. Also, many engineering grad schools offer assistantships that cover tuition and give you a stipend. So yes, life can be a lot simpler after you complete your education in engineering, but getting there is hell.
