UC chance/help!!!!!

Hi everyone!

I am currently a junior at the #1 public school in my state (Pennsylvania), therefore, it is very rigorous. This thread is not exactly a “What Are My Chances” related thread. I simply have a yes or no question regarding my freshman grades.

Freshman profile:

GPA: 4.35 (weighted out of 5) 3.86 (unweighted out of 4)

EC’s: ice hockey, 2 community service clubs, and one club that helps students with special needs :slight_smile:

Other info about me: I am a white male, I live in Pennsylvania, and suffered through Perthes hip disease, and wasn’t supposed to walk again. I had a very lucky surgery, and it ended up being successful. I now play many sports, including ones with contact.

Anyways, would my freshman year affect my admission to UC’s??? I heard they don’t take freshman grades into consideration, but I am unsure.

Freshman grades are not included into GPA calculation for UC schools

UC’s do not use Freshman grades in their GPA calculation, but they check your grades to make sure you pass the UC required a-g course requirements.

Also for the weighted UC GPA for OOS students school designated honors classes are not weighted. Only AP classes get the GPA weight.

Also IB or DE courses get the extra honor points. ^^^^^

^^^^Also, the UC’s are full fees to OOS students.
