what are my chances to uc’s, loyola marymount university, pepperdine university, concordia, cal lutheran, occidental

well, UCs will give you a grade bump for AP Bio, AP Calc, AP English, so your GPA for UC will be around 3.8 or so. Have you calculated it?

That SAT CR and W are killing you. YOu should probably try to take one more time, perhaps hiring a tutor for 3-5 hours of help.

I don’t understand the Bio grades in 10th grade… did you take Bio and AP Bio at the same time??

You’re a match to UCR and slight reach to UCSC, a reach to UCSB, UCI and UCD. Big reach for UCSD and huge reach for UCLA and Berkeley.

considering you’ve gotten OK grades is AP classes, you’re a pretty good student.

If you can get the CR and W of the SAT over 500, then UCSB, UCI and UCD become more of a realistic possibility. You know that UCs require TWO SAT subject tests, right?

LMU: Match/Safety
Pepperdine: Reach/Natch
Occy: Reach
Cal Lutheran: Safety

18 ACT = 860-890 M+CR = 1290 New SAT

1000 M+CR SAT = 21 ACT

1430 New SAT = 20 ACT

Don’t send your ACT…your SAT is better.

What is your “UC GPA”???

UCR mid 50 range

Test Scores
Middle 50% of First-Year Students

SAT Critical Reading: 450 - 570
SAT Math: 480 - 620
SAT Writing: 460 - 570
ACT Composite: 19 - 25

I wouldn’t say UCR is a match, but you have a chance.

I think you’re in at LMU, but unless your parents will pay, you’ll probably get gapped.

Are you applying to any Cal States? You really need to.

mom2 – the UCs seem to value GPA more highly than test scores. OP’s GPA puts him/her is in the top 10% of their class. That’s a pretty strong match to UCR.

i did la, long beaach, pomona, and san diego state

i am not sure if this helps but my dad earns about 32,000 and he is divorced
i am legal resident of california and a citizen of Mexico

Do you realize that some people with 600’s end up with 750’s because they took a lot of practice tests. I’m sure you can get those 400’s up to 600’s or close to it.

to be honest these are some of the high scores in my school except english i have seen people get 500 and 700 in spanish.
i took it again in december and got 440 in english 640 spanish and 570 in math.
i am really aiming for loyola marymount, pepperdine, ucsb, ucla, and irvine

i also took the sat again and got 20 composite score: 24 in math(highest is 25), 20 in english, 20 in science, 6 in writing and i forgot the others
