<p>I heard in the application, there’s a part where u put a check mark or something if you were sick long time ago, maybe because you had a brain surgery, or you had a really hard time.</p>

<p>I heard if you put a checkmark there or something, you have better chance to get in.
and it did happen to me, and I’m not sure where the checkmark or something is.
i just heard this from my friend; instead of just writing it in the essay, you should also tell the college that you’re unique, because you’re different, because u were sick and weak, but u tried hard and caught up with everyone.</p>

<p>There is a part around the essay portion that asks you if you had any special circumstances during high school. Checking it means that you will HAVE to elaborate on it in the form of an essay.</p>

And do you mean “essay” as in just the normal 2 prompts right?</p>
