I got this e-mail telling me to apply for the UC Davis Alumni Scholarship even though I don’t know any alumni, and I don’t have any alumni in my family. I already sent it in, but is getting this e-mail mean anything?

Please comment!!

^You don’t have to know any of the alumni. It is just a scholarship that the alumni offer to incoming students. D received the email as well, but she has already been admitted. So, I would say you might have a good chance of getting in.

ok, thanks! was your D elc?

so just to make sure, if you got that UC Davis scholarship email, does it mean I have a good chance of getting in??

No. It means you applied, so they sent you an email about applying to scholarships. It’s basically sent out to everyone

yea, i got it a while ago and i am by no means ELC or anything. i think its pretty standard, hardly a “likely” to get in type thing. i wish tho Davis is my top choice

On a similar note, I took the EIT and a month after they sent me a “study for the EIT” manual before the results were in. This was quite terrifying until I found out that I passed. It’s just something they send out to everyone.
