What major are you applying as? Without that it’s hard to say anything. I’m guessing it’s not a stem major guessing from classes listed, even so your GPA seems low. Also, why is your non-assist GPA higher? Did you go to a 4 year before?

Either thaN that go on uc davis and Santa Cruz fall 2014 admission stats thread and search for your major to get a sense what gets you in. For both schools the average GPA should be around 3.4-3.6. That doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t get in…it will be very unlikely.

At the moment I think I have to agree with calbro. However, I wouldn’t say your GPA is outside the range of who UC santa cruz admits and it could be possible. You should consider other schools. Don’the give up on the schools you have listed, but the reality is your GPA is not competitive for the schools you have listed (not sure about sjsu).

Also, I’m not sure if this is just a rumor, but UCs and CSUs like to take in students from local CCs. You may have a higher chance of getting admitted to a local school.
