UC Davis, blue & gold plan and pell grant question.

Hello all, I have a question regarding UC Davis, the blue & gold opportunity plan and the pell grant. I will be transferring to UC Davis from Sac City College and have almost completed my IGETC. My question regarding the B&G plan is this; will is cover the cost for UC Davis even if there is no pell grant money available? I am an older college student and have attended a number of years ago. With the change in pell grant (600% limit), will it still completely cover the tuition at Davis? My efc is 0 and I fully qualify for the B&G plan. I can always take loans out, but that still won’t be enough to pay if the B&G doesn’t cover it all. If the B&G plan will cover tuition, will I be forced to take loans? I don’t qualify for the cal grant btw. Thanks

I think if your EFC is zero you should be receiving plenty of aid. Taking out loans might be necessary though.
From what I understand, B&G will cover tuition costs ONLY, and only if your other aid hasn’t already provided enough to cover it.
So it won’t cover living costs, books, etc. Just tuition and fees.
I don’t know anything about pell grant though because I wasn’t eligible.
Congrats on getting in! Hope I was able to answer your question a little!
