“… Katehi, who earns $424,360 annually as chancellor, had come under fire for accepting a $70,000-a-year position with the DeVry Education Group, a for-profit firm that offers college degrees online and on 55 campuses nationwide, including 13 in California.”
Apparently, $424K per year wasn’t enough.

Katehi is a fraud. She apologized, because she got caught. She would never done this out of her good heart. Then again, I’m sure there are others like hers like the chancellor of UCSB and numerous professors who regularly changed text books in order to get kick back from publishers. The students (and their parents) always get the short end of things in college… they pay, pay, and pay while the people like Katehi continues to rob, rob, and rob.
Ahahaha, she’s my neighbour. I can speak a bit to her character, and I will say she’s a bit, well, posh? “Holier than thou” attitude and such.
What does a college chancellor even do? Just sit around and watch everyone? Seems like a pretty easy job that makes more than a physician.
