Does UC Davis update portals for decisions or do they send it via email?
All UC’s will update the student portals with decisions and will also send an email to have the student check their portals.
In general, the portals update prior to the email but not always.

Thanks, I heard that the UC Davis decision is given in the email or subject line itself (for example subject line congrats etc). Kind of doesn’t let the student check on their own timing if in the middle of class or something.
Yes, some campuses will include the decision in their email and that email content can also change from year to year so until decisions are out, no one will know for sure what UCD’s email will show.

Thank you for shout out. I Enjoy what I do in helping the College confidential community. The other UC Forum Champion @lkg4answers is also a wealth of information along with the many other CC frequent posters. We always try to answer the questions to be the best of our ability.

UCSB usually releases decisions after UCSD. And, also at least a week after UC Davis. This could potentially mean that we get UC Davis today, because UCSB announced decisions to be released on the 18th of this month. And UCSD next friday. Any thoughts?

I feel these could be the release dates:
Today - UCD and UCI
Mar 14, Fri - UCSD, UCLA
March 18, Tue - UCSB (confirmed)
March 27, Thu - UCBerkeley

UCSB and UCB have already announced their release dates - 3/18 and 3/27 respectively.
