I actually got mines yesterday haha :)

I received it yesterday as well.

I NEED HELP!!! I got accepted to ucd as a transfer student major is psychology. I am not passing a math class which is not a requirement for my major but would they withdraw my appication!!! please someone let me know!!

@lucy209 Do you need it for IGETC, the 60 unit requirement, or is it a prerequisite?

Hi everyone

Anyone in here get rejected and appeal?? I was rejected for communications (which is impacted and I didn’t know so I didn’t qualify) but I appealed to get in on my second choice (Sociology). I sent in paperwork backing up why I had some bad grades from the past, showing everything is good now, and 4 or 5 letters of rec from teachers, community members, etc.

Yesterday they sent me an email asking for this semester’s grades (all A’s & one B) and so I’m taking that as a good sign. UCD Counselor says appeals are rarely granted and its a very slim chance.

Anyone know anything???

Thanks!!

@fitforfun, whats ur gpa when u applied??

@fitforfun So they asked you for spring semester’s grades?? you already know your final grades for spring? : 0

Yes just graduated last night with my second and 3rd Associate’s
Degrees, took finals already except for one class. They only gave me 5 days to get the info in and final grades wouldn’t have been in by then so I had to heck in with each instructor.

GPA when I applied was I think 2.8, but this semester’s classes included wiping 3 F’s to A’s
so I do qualify for the reqs for soc even though it is low…

U should have a decent shot at getting your appeal approved

@ fitforfun
ah! SAME HERE. I called and they said my GPA appeared that i have a 2.86. But my counselor calculated my overall transferable GPA which is 2.92.
I applied for Communication as well. I called why I was denied they also said that my major courses completed to date needed to be a 3.0 (psych 1A, math 15 and speech 1A) and I have a 2.9 and it is recommended that I have a 3.0.

@Lucy209 You should be fine depending on your GPA I got a D in math
but I still have a 3.6 so they said my admissions is okay, as long as you don’t bomb every other class. If you log on to myadmissions and update your grade information they should get back to you shortly about you status.

Nervous! Still waiting to hear on the appeal, decision to post “by the 31st”. After they asked for my current grades I didn’t hear anything else! Prayers!

what overall GPA do you need to have after Spring semester to transfer to UCD?? I’m only waiting for their appeal decision, but I got one D in all of my six classes. :S

@Formomilan needed 2.8 for Soc, which I believe I’m above now but my first choice major was communications which is impacted and I didn’t qualify for, so I appealed to get in I my second choice which I’m sure I do qualify for but it’s still up to the appeals committee. Nervous because in previous years it looks like students whose transfer appeals that were granted found out a little earlier than the actual date and I haven’t heard anything yet except for when they asked what this semester’s grades were…:-we find out officially on Friday and hopefully it’s good news!!

Has anyone heard on their UC Davis transfer appeal yet???

Fitforfun I just heard back today and I got in!.. I thought it was supposed to come out tomorrow, but I Guess it is up now. :)

Now I’m turn between UCI and UCD

@kingblue I’m deciding between UCI and UCD also! (Unless I get accepted off the wait list at UCSD) how are you going to decide?

@kingblue

Me too! Just found out today soooooo excited! Davis my dream choice
congratulations !!!

Congrats to both of you! and @WordofTeekz… Honestly I don’t know… I’ve always wanted to go away for college, to have the college experience… but now I’m thinking that shouldn’t be my main deciding factor…

I will take a look at the ranking of both schools psychology program as that is my major and also take into account the amount of aid I am given… I think those two will be the biggest factors

Anyone know the situation with housing, where are you guys living? Residence halls, SHAs, outside apartments? Also, anyone know if most residence halls are mostly for freshmen or are there certain residence halls that house transfers?
