GPA Overall: 3.38
Transfer GPA: 2.94
Major: Pharmaceutical Chemistry
TAG?: No
IGETC?: Yes
Comments: I returned to the cc with a 1.79 GPA and boosted my gpa to 3.38. Low transfer gpa because C’s earned 4+ years ago still counted for UC gpa but was not counted at cc. Just wanted to let people know it’s possible to get in below 3.0 as long as you show them you are willing.

Chrono, I just got off the phone with an advisor and they said it’s fine. What I have on my TAU is what they see. Just make sure to not update it on the myadmissions site or else it will just duplicate it.

I am currently attending a community college, and I am planning to sign the TAG to Davis this upcoming Fall 2013. I am a biochem major and is currently taking 15 units (Evolution Bio, English, Intro to Music, and Calc 3). I have a 76% in calc 3 ATM, and my professor told me that my chance of getting a B is hard. I am trying really hard to raise my grade, but I am scared that I might end up with a C, which will drop my GPA and my chances for grad school. My GPA is currently 3.5. I was wondering if I drop the calc 3 class and have only 11 units (part time), whether Davis will still accept my TAG because one of the requirements is to be full time this semester. My drop date is in two days, and I am really struggling on what to do. Any help would be appreciated!

Do you know if our admission may be revoked if we end up with a D in one of our classes? Mine is transferable and it’s also math but I had the math requirement straight out of high school so it shouldn’t matter right?

So I just joined this forum to ask a question that’s been stressing me out quite a bit. I was accepted to Davis with TAG and got my official decision last week. Upon reading about what was required of me from here on out, I came across the section saying that I could not drop any class that I was taking for this spring semester. Well I did just that, dropping a statistics class that I believed was necessary for transfer but actually wasn’t as I had already completed two calculus courses. I never put statistics down in my TAG, but I did put it as PLANNED in my general application. My question is how likely are they to have a problem with what I have done given that the class I dropped has no bearing on my major whatsoever? It’s not in my TAG and it’s not listed for my major. Any sort of input would be appreciated.

@hannahhm I’m bringing my sister because I’m staying over the night before. I’m not really sure how orientation works though. Do students usually bring other people with them? I don’t think she’s going to attend the actual orientation with me since it’s $94 per person.
