Accepted: All of them

Hopefully this isn’t too broad of a question. For those who have been accepted and are considering the school - what are your major pros and cons?
For me…
Pros:

  • prestige
  • the medical school tells me that the school probably has many research opportunities
  • the location would take me most out of my element which would be good as we only have two years to reach our personal potential
  • beautiful complex
  • most transfers can live in one designated complex, which I think would make it easier to meet others

Cons:

  • the competitive atmosphere may be a bit hard to be thrown right into
  • Its far (im in LA)
  • bipolar weather
  • UC"dung" lollll

Please share yours, I’m lost with picking a school!

Did anyone got into UCD but the program just isn’t your thing? I got admitted to UCD studying cinema and digital media. I was planning to do film but I think I will get rejected by the top film schools…they’re just too competitive.

I don’t think the cinema and digital media major is something I like, but if I end up going to UCD I think I’m gonna change my major LOLLOL

@buddy1230 Admitted for Political Science: Public Service. Was planning to double major in International Relations but feel like I’d rather switch to IR and double in Sustainable Environmental Design or Managerial Economics. ? I’m all over the place at the moment. Lot of majors look interesting.

For anyone who got waitlisted and accepted the waitlist offer, did you provide neutral grades for your “estimated spring grades”? I really don’t know what to put because I can’t really tell how I’m doing or what I’ll end up with in my classes this quarter (I’m transferring from UCR). Can I just list them as “IP” - in progress? Thank you!

.

@SatanFlower69 How do we double major? Did you mention it in your application? And yeah there is a lot of interesting majors!!

@buddy1230 I didn’t mention it in the application. If you scroll down a little the double major information is listed. Seems fairly simple as long as prereqs are complete.

Hey fellow transfers, any accepted CS students who are intending to attend Uc Davis?

Accepted. Any students majoring in math or physics?

I’m physics but rejected. Appealed so I’m hoping they accept me on appeal

Hey guys, I got accepted by Davis last week. Now I have a question about whether I can drop one of the spring classes and register another one. (It is not required courses for my major).
Should I notify Davis? How can I contact them?

When you log into your portal, under your applicant profile you should be able to find “Please report any changes” in bright red! Clicking on the link will redirect you to where you can notify them of any changes and additional classes.

@schoolgirl731 Thank you so much!

Posting in case this is helpful. Main questions were if it was too late to switch from off campus and if there was any way to guarantee a studio for non traditional (older) transfers.

It is not too late to update your FAFSA from off campus to on campus. Regarding studio apartments, they are currently limited and it is not guaranteed that you will have an opportunity to select a studio during room selection. Students interested in a studio apartment can select yes to be placed on the studio waitlist. Studio apartments available after room selection will be assigned to students on the waitlist through a random lottery. Once you have received your room selection, if you are not satisfied with your selection, you can reach out to our office and we will try working with you on making your stay on campus more pleasant.

I deleted a number of posts in which posters were not being civil. Those violated the Terms of Service. It’s a trying time right now so please be considerate in your posts.

Do you guys know if there are any housing threads for UC Davis? Currently looking for roommates, lol. I plan on living in the campus apartments. Any help or advice on where to search for roommates will be appreciated!

@Benjamin81 Hey, I’m looking for housing in the campus apartments as well, you’re looking for a single or shared?

@SatanFlower69 do you know when is the date for room selection?
