<p>and also, although there’s no official cutoff or “accepted” score range, i’ve heard that u need 8000+ and possibly more for impacted majors…is this true?</p>

So if you apply for a college that’s harder to get into (engineering, for example) you have to meet higher standards, but within a given college/division they don’t consider your major. An prospective impacted major is considered the same as anyone else applying to that college/division, if what they say is true.</p>
