UC DAVIS Question about changes to coursework after Admission

I was admitted today into UC Davis for Statistics.

The stats program doesn’t have any selective major pre-reqs as of right now, but I’ve had to withdraw from two of my Spring semester courses. One of them was a recommended, but not required course.

I’ve replaced those courses with two others to make sure I still meet the 60 credits minimum and meet all the basic general-ed transfer requirements.

Will they rescind my admission anyways?

PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Maybe. Maybe not. Only they can tell you with certainty.

Nobody here can answer. You need to let admissions know. Is there an explanation as to why you dropped the classes?

Yes. My family and I had a lot of struggles from January to April because of the fires in Southern California. There are responsibilities that I have that have pulled my attention away from my studies.

I would be sure admissions understands your extenuating circumstances. I hope everything works out.

Thanks. What do you mean by “I would be sure?” Sorry, English is not my first language so I am a little confused.

Let admissions know that the wildfires impacted your family and courseload.
