UC Davis TAG selective vs. nonselective majors?

Does anyone know the difference between selective majors that UC Davis outlines online with specific requirements, and non-selective majors. For instance, I was looking into cognitive science BS for TAG, and it fall under school of letters and science, does that mean for TAG I would have to meet the requirements outlined under psychology in UC Davis site?

I am sorry if I am causing confusion, because the UC Davis website only lists cognitive science as con-selective and TAG eligible without listing any requirements. If anyone can clarify the difference between a non-selective major like cognitive science and other selective major as long as TAG is concerned, I would appreciate it.

Wanna know too

If you want to submit a TAG for a major that isn’t considered selective with all the extra pre-requisites they require, follow Assist.org for your major and the school you’re coming from.

CogSci is is said to be non-selective at https://tag.ucdavis.edu/counselors/criteria.cfm

So you need to meet the general transfer requirements at http://admissions.ucdavis.edu/admission/transfers/tr_adm_reqt.cfm to be eligible to transfer at all. Also you must meet the requirements on the item “What are the requirements to submit a fall 2016 UC Davis TAG?” at https://tag.ucdavis.edu/students/faq.cfm excluding the sentence about “selective majors”

A more detailed description is at https://tag.ucdavis.edu/counselors/criteria.cfm Note in particular that 1) Students must have completed at least 30 semester (45 quarter) transferable units, including units for any AP and IB credit, by the end of summer 2015 2)
