<p>My first native language is Chinese, my second language is Vietnamese and my third language is English. </p>
<p>I find out that learning a new language is not an easy task at all; it requires a lot of commitment and effort. It is a continuing process where you digest some new learning everyday little by little like a infinite series and as time goes by and you never stop learning, you will see that you have learned a great deal. </p>
<p>I’ve struggled studying Chinese, Vietnamese and particularly, I have struggled the most in English. I began studying English when I started high school in the U.S. roughtly about 5 years ago and I knew very little English then. However, here I am, 5 years later, entering a university in the U.S. It has been a great challenge to me indeed but I have to overcome it.</p>

<p>I know how you feel. I know Vietnamese, English, starting to forget my French, and already forgot my Chinese. I don’t get how some people know like a dozen languages.</p>
<p>Probably they are living in a multicultural community… I think it is part of Darwin’s idea of adaptation.</p>
