<p>Now, is it better two write THREE 600 word essays and edit two of them down to 200? Or is it better to just write 200 words to begin with and write one 600 word essay?</p>
<p>For my UC essay, I just wrote three essays naturally, neglecting their word limits. Then I edited them to fit their word limits.</p>

<p>Just write as much on each topic as you need, not worrrying about word count, and edit when all three are finished.</p>
<p>Ask yourself which of the three topics will make you stand out better and/or need further explanations and thus require a longer essay.</p>
<p>…okay. I see. I think I’ll just write 3 and edit two down to 200, thus editing out 67%.</p>
