The UC essays are supposed to be up to 1000 words combined, right? Not up to 1000 words each? That’s the impression I got from the instructions, but I just want to be sure.

it is combined

ucla2013…

Yeah combined, but it’s not a strict number. Last year it took me forever to trim my essays down to size. I made it to about 1024, I think. Maybe it was 1012. Anyway, it’s not super strict, but try to be very close to a combined total of 1000 words.

i think i edited mine so much and perfected it so much that it turned out to be almost exactly 1000 words.

yeah…but in other news…damn a new class already? we’re getting old folks…im gonna go party before i’m too old

2013!? where are my hover cars?

no kidding!!! seems so far away from now.

well, considering the bullet train will be completed in 2030… when we’re all on mars

Thanks guys… It’s going to be a bit of a challenge to get them that short, but I’ll manage

Just making sure, the 1000 combined word limit doesn’t include prompt 3 about additional information correct?

Correct. The third is not technically part of the personal statement.
