Hi everyone. I’ve been on this thread since around pages 80-90.
I applied for Biological Sciences (with Pharmaceutical Sciences as my alternate) and haven’t heard anything yet. I’m hoping I’m making it past these rejection batches, but I sense a rejection coming my way D:

ECs: Two clubs, community service for about 5 to 7 hours every Saturday.
Income: About 80k

@Royal97 I’m not really sure how the IB thing works but it sounds very rigorous; I’m sure it’s advantageous for you! I go to an art school so we can only take a total of five classes. I’m taking 4 APs and 1 honors, and then I do music for the rest of the time. I had a lot of volunteer hours, like 1,000+. I really hope you get in!!
UCI is very GPA focused. Close to 4.0 or higher even with lower ACT/SAT scores will get you in much easier than the other way around. Older son had UC GPA 4.2+ ACT 26 accepted in 2nd batch 2 years ago. Younger son UC GPA 3.8 ACT 31, denied in last batch last year. Major will also play a big part in decisions. Competitive majors, you need that 4.0+ GPA. Good luck to all and there are many great schools out there for everyone…
