@DPattt‌, what do they care about then? I had terrible stats and got in.

Honestly I’ve enjoyed the experience waiting for my rejection by UCI thanks to this thread. Love all of you guys and hope that we all end up where we want to be or what we want to do in the future. With this, I say farewell to this thread.

Side note: Still nothing from Cal Poly Pomona but I’m probably going to go there if I get accepted. See (maybe) some of you guys there?

GOODBYE AND GOODLUCK TO PEOPLE WHO HAVEN’T RECEIVED A DECISION YET

@Wafflepiezz‌ does it really matter what major? I applied for chem and mechanical e but I got in as undeclared.

Rejected :(((

Rejected. I got rejected from all of the UCs I applied for and honestly, I am disappointed in myself. But I know I will have to face numerous more rejections in the future. To anyone else that’s in my position, I just want you to know that it does not matter where you start, it matters where you end. No one will care if you started from a community college and transferred, or went straight to a four year university. Just never give up on yourself and your dreams. We are ALL worth more than a rejection letter. Good luck everyone, and best wishes!

Rejected from UCI Computer Science… rejected from all UC’s. Was accepted to UMass Amherst with a Chancellors Award for 8k though. But… I’d give that up for UCI .-.

@metalmonk28 Nice, OSU is a prety good school. One of my cousins turned down UCLA and UCSD for OSU… :-<

@DPattt Perhaps it was your essay that won you a spot. What did you write about in your essay?

[/ul]General Comments:
Seriously thought that I had a chance- not a good one, but still some chance. Sigh. I really screwed up my sohpomore and junior years (sucks that they don’t see or focus on my senior year too - I’ve realized my mistakes and am now getting 4.4/4.6 GPA with similar rigor in courses…too late haha). My test scores are great, but the C’s and D’s probably prevent me from getting accepted to most universities. I was dying for a chance to make up for my mistakes - an acceptance would’ve given me the chance, as well as some much needed motivation. Sigh. Not giving up though!!

Good luck to those still waiting and congratulations to those accepted!

@sweetpotatoes31‌ My essays were definitely the main reason i got in. I just talked about how a personal experience changed the way i see the world and shaped my aspirations.

It is so very hard to walk away from this thread. It is a very interesting dynamic that has gone on here. My best to all of you. The possibilities remain infinite….they just don’t include UCI for the time being….at least for some of us

In two years, everyone come back on and write what college your at and what your doing

UC Admissions are really really really weird …

I got rejected :frowning:

Have any of you heard from UC Riverside?

I haven’t gotten anything, not even an email so im just in limbo over here
