***UC Irvine Class of 2019 Admissions Results/Stats Discussion***

I loved this thread, so I’ve been checking back everyday since I got my decision. Have they finished releasing everything now? I can’t believe they pulled the same thing as last year leaving the rejections for last :(.

Anyone on here waiting to hear from Berkley tonight?

Do they send out emails saying the portal has been updated when you’ve been rejected? I havent recieved anything yet.

Do they send out emails saying the portal has been updated when you’ve been rejected? I havent recieved anything yet.

Anyone know what is a good gpa range and SAT range that people got into UCI?

I just got accepted yesterday for physics

Hi everyone! A couple of my friends got accepted off the waitlist when they checked their portals. you guys should check it out

People already got accepted off the waitlist? How does this work? I thought results came out after may 1. I hope we get in!!! >.< @friendorfaux‌

@sweetpotatoes31‌ I have a friend who is 2yrs older than me, went to CC and just got his guaranteed admit to Davis this January or February? It’s a real deal. He also applied for regular transfer to Berkeley because B doesn’t do TAG. He’s waiting/hoping for that one but at least he has UCD for sure.

Admission to UCI works in a mysterious way.

@jer2911 Nice! That’s pretty solid. How long did he spend time in at a CC before his transfer?

@itwillbeok The UC system is pretty erratic in general.

[li] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Not quite competitive enough especially going into biomedical engineering. Waitlisted at UC Berkeley (as opposed to rejected) probably because I didn’t apply for an engineering major unlike how I also did for Davis and SD - got waitlisted at those two (I know right, 4 UC waitlists?!). Also waitlisted at UChicago. Rejected from USC, UCLA, and Northwestern. Accepted to UCSB and glad I have that to fall back on.[/li][/ul]General Comments: Good Luck!!! (I received my decision on Friday, March 20th but just didn’t post about it until now.)

[] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Honestly, I have no idea. Looking through all these amazing scores posted by people makes me feel stupid and bad. I don’t think I deserve this spot. Maybe it was my personal statement essays… But I’m very sorry for the people who got denied but had amazing test scores… My friend has a score of 1330~ in her SAT but she got accepted as well.
[
] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Accepted in CSUF, Rejected on every UC I applied to, Rejected in CSULB.

[/ul]General Comments:
I think UCI made a mistake picking me. If that was the case, it’s understandable.
I don’t know what they see in someone like me.
Congratz to the people who got accepted! Especially to those who deserved it
(Received my acceptance at March 19)

I still haven’t gotten anything from UCI and I just stopped caring, if I dont hear from them by the 31st I’m gonma SIR somewhere else.
