So today I recieved an email from UC Irvine telling me to check my application status. I did and now it says I’ve been accepted… Before I was waitlisted. Here is the weirdest thing, I never actually signed up for the waitlist or anything. I don’t really know how the whole waitlist thing works so I just ignored it. So idk. Waitlisted applicants: GO CHECK YOUR PORTALS.
You don’t sign up to be waitlisted, you just get waitlisted.
Actually they give you the option to be put on the waitlist.
Ah well ok then.
@ADY360 that means that we might be qualify for work study, cal grant, uci grant, loans, pell grants… if they want more documents to see that whether we are qualify for all these or just confirm our status, then they will ask for those documents and we have to provide them asap. So right now, they best thing we could do is wait till April (a few days!!) and check My Aid again and/or maybe they will send email to us about the package hope this helps!!

i checked My Admission on 3/18 and got accepted even though I didn’t receive any email stating that I’ve been accepted lol so mine could be earlier? XD @kkkiiimmm

If I already submitted my SIR and I’m already committed to UCI, would the financial aid department still view my financial aid appeal the same way regardless of whether I’m already committed to UCI or not? I want to ask for a reassessment on my financial aid, but I wouldn’t have time to go down to their financial aid office until monday, but I want to submit my SIR so that I can sign up for housing. Please let me know asap thank you!

for housing, i already deposited my fee of $20, and it says the application is complete, but it never let me choose where I wanted to stay/who I wanted to room with?
@puppycujo that will be in May the housing application right now is just saying that “ok im gonna live on campus and study in UCI” that’s it. for like where to choose and who to stay with is another application in May they will probably sent out email that month or just check My Admission around that time
