does uci value ec’s a lot? or do they pretty much only use stats?? I have strong ec’s so i was hoping it could make up for my kinda below avg uc gpa…but idk T_T

After this year of admissions, I feel like no uc school is a safety anymore. like you seriously can’t be 100% sure , especially with yield protection 8-|

Sorry if I offended anyone. Perhaps the use of “safety school” for UCI is incorrect. I think the waiting is making me nuts. I was accepted to all of the Cal State schools I applied to. A UC school is my preference. Of my choices, Irvine is not my top pick, but certainly not a “safety” school.
Personally for me - in terms of getting accepted - I rank the schools that I applied to in the following order - from least likely to get accepted to maybe/probably:
UCLA / UCB
UCSD
UCD
UCSB
UCI
