That would crazy! But quite the campfire story…!
I just got an email from UC Irvine inviting San Diego admitted kids to a March 24th reception. This MIGHT be a clue that they are about to release their decision.
I went through the 2015 and 2014 UCI decisions forums.
2015 release on 17th, Tuesday at 4:45pm
2014 on 13th, Thursday at 9pm
2013 it was 15th Friday 10pm or 16th Saturday, not very sure.
Well. UCI have yet not failed to disappointed me.
So there’s a possibility that they could release late tonight ?
Where are you uci
@pleaseacceptme99 If that were to occur, I would be a wreck. UCLA is anxiety-provoking enough, but adding UCSD and UCI to the list would be too much. Good thoughts, good thoughts
If someone has the guts to demand a clear answer from them, they should do so. Do us all a favor and save us from our anxiety! The whole “releasing decisions through March 31” crap isn’t gonna cut it anymore. If they want people to stop harassing them with a bunch of phone calls, they should just provide us with a specific announcement date. At least that way, we know when to expect our decisions and won’t be left in the dark.
If in the past they have released at 9 PM (hopefully accurate), than I think today is still a possibility for the release of decisions. I think the twitter message was pretty blunt in its meaning, and I doubt that out of the blue, they would tweet something like that without a firm reason.
Honestly, I thinking they’re trolling us.
*trollling
If I applied to Business Admin and another competitive major as the alternative, what if I don’t get accepted to both majors? Does it mean that I will be rejected from the school?
I agree. Like why would they tweet that if it isn’t in the very near future. Unless they’re juss trying to watch us freak out on college confidential.
No; while it depends by university, they might admit you as undeclared @ucgogo I wouldn’t worry too much atm. Wait until you see your admission decision before major choice crosses your mind
Thanks. But biz admin has less than a 20% acceptance rate, so I am kind of worried about that.
What are your stats? @ucgogo Admission rates don’t really mean anything unless you are compared to those that got accepted. For example, one could look at SDSU and be like “Wow, that school is selective with a 34.5% acceptance rate.” But then, one can look at the stats and see that the average GPA is a 3.69 and average test scores are the following: Math:568, CR: 544, Writing: 490-590; ACT: 24
so freshmen applicant decisions will be out tonight?
Average unweighted GPA for SDSU is 3.69, Weighted is 3.82 and average SAT Math + CR is 1159. and ACT of 25. This also data from 2014 so they have not yet updated their Freshman Profile information for 2015 and I am sure 2016 will be even higher. Weighted GPA is on par for UCSC and slightly above UCR. Also not all majors have a 34.5% acceptance rate some are above that threshold and others are below and then you have nursing around 5%. Same can be said for UCI.
My friend just got accepted via email hours ago. He is an international applicant from China though
Make some cupcakes like me and enjoy them. Removing stress by eating is real yo ~O) ~O)
