***UC Irvine Class of 2020 Admissions Results/Stats Discussion***

Does anyone need Brazilian food?

SERIOUSLY! they tweeted “coming” which I interpret as ok, decisions will be here in a few hours (also since it lacks the word “soon” compared to their previous tweet from last week)…yet now they leave us here hanging and anxiously waiting whether the decisions are gonna come out 9, 10 or whatever time tonight. Heck, we’re not even sure if it’s gonna come out tonight or tomorow or next week! sigh Their employees are probably home right now & having a great dinner.

Nothing new here

just wanted to say something after reading a lot of posts on not only this thread but other decision threads. i know many of you are stressed out and I mean I get stressed out too, but there’s a point where I feel like many of you are going overboard. an example is when many say they are crying, which I’m not sure if it’s just exaggeration, or would rather die. my wish is that you all take a step back and simply look at the things you’ve said. 5 years later you look back and start wondering why that was you. Just sit back, chill, and do something because you can’t change time.

@sourfeature well said

@sourfeature very well said. i’m definitely a little stressed out too but constantly freaking out about the decision isn’t going to sway it one way or the other. it’s not like having anxiety attacks is going to make them accept you, so there’s literally no point to worrying about it so much

@sourfeature People need to realize that WHERE you go to school, is not the be all end all of your career.

Ex: For me, I wanna major in Comp Sci. My future employers won’t give two shits if I went to Cal State Fullerton instead of UC Irvine if I have prior work experience or an excellent portfolio of projects and can demonstrate proficiency in programming. Sure, going to a good school can be helpful for your first/second job, but afterwards, work experience >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> where u went to school

@henrytheunicorn Although what you said is completely true, I don’t think that’s the reason people worry about going to a top tier school. Its all about this “redemption” for all of their hard work and to just prove to family and friends that it was worth it to take this particular EC or take a series of AP classes. I know mine is. UCI come on. Friday is booked for me with UCLA its either tomorrow or Thursday.

What if UCLA pulls a UCI on us? the 3/18 wasn’t confirmed, right?

@9pmerchdude agreed. sometimes i feel like there are people out there who are even hurting themselves or throwing up because they are so nervous

a little off topic but the stress of waiting is killing me and i need someone to ease my mind LOL…does uci give a lot of consideration to strong ec’s??? i have really good ec’s…im kinda hoping it’s what gets me into uci since my stats are pretty average T_T

@RHSclassof16: The reception is for the UC Irvine (not UCSD) admitted San Diego kids.
