***UC Irvine Class of 2022 Applicants***

Rejection from UCSB and now we can’t find out about UCI. -ughhhh whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy???

it really doesn’t mean anything, just that they have a) received your financial aid or b) haven’t.

I am SO sick of waiting. UCI is my top choice but it’s getting really irritating waiting especially if I get rejected. Anyways, tomorrow or thursday?

No idea. They have not been clear on a set date. I’m hoping for tomorrow, sooner than later. If I get accepted, I’m submitting my SIR THE SECOND I CAN

@SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 Overall, colleges have better reputations than film schools as film schools are somehow considered “easy” to get into (I’m not sure about their selectivity since I did not apply to any, just heard people that went to visual & performing arts field say). If you really want a prestigious film school, I would say USC or the Hollywood one (USC for reputation, Hollywood for opportunities).

Is the decision coming out yet ?

@kl95070 they said after the 20th, so tomorrow or later

Did you hear about this?
http://ktla.com/2018/03/19/uc-president-calls-for-guaranteed-admission-of-all-qualified-community-college-students/

@Lyoder2051 Yes, our school district signed a “deal” with community colleges, CSUF, and UCI saying that if students who enroll in a community college for two years and have fully met the requirements, CSUF and UCI would “accept” them 100% guaranteed. I don’t know about the conditions, but that’s what we heard.

@Lyoder2051 not in effect until 2019, although, we do have guaranteed admissions for cc for aaaaages (only for 6 UCs though) and the guaranteed admissions vary from campus to campus. Irvine had the most requirements

Cool! I wonder if we have something like that around South Pas… congrats on UCLA!

@riceball123 I guess it would be a good time to take a gap year then

@Lyoder2051 lol yea! The min gpa requirement for tag at Irvine is a 3.4 and it can’t go down at all

The community college near me has had a transfer agreement with UCI for a while I think

@riceball123 thats still better than the average undegrad GPA of an Irvine applicant however  if I didn’t get in anywhere that’s probably what I would do  I’m still thinking of doing it because UCLA is better than UCSD which is right now my fav UC that I managed to get into

@gothic82 it seems then that a lot of them do …

I don’t know who’s gonna come out faster…
Me or UCI.

Does she want to do research? uCs are known for research. sUs for practical, hands on training and can lead to graduate school., it’s like UCs assume you will go to graduate school.

You will love Davis. Great campus

if emails are getting sent out after march 20, does that means admissions can go all the way up to april 1st? that’s concerning, especially since I’m waiting for a decision to decide and go tour
