I wonder when we will have time to decide if they come out with decisions super late and we will only have few days to accept the offer and apply for housing. Some CSU are coming in april, am I the only one complaning for this or is this a problem for eveyone? This is unacceptable.
Ms Sun appears to have some credibility and her words are probably true. I just don’t understand why UCI said they will come out “Early March” on that UC decision date page (Ill post a link down below) and sent out the email couple days ago saying “march 20th”. Maybe if they told us late march from the get-go we won’t be as frustrated. I mean yeah, we wouldve been mad initially but our anger prolonged for weeks. All of us here probably checked the portal every 3, 5, 7pm for all 21 days of march bc they kept us guessing. Not Giving us a set date is bad enough but atleast give us a right estimate.

But doesn’t the website say ‘March 1- 31’ - they say that in order to safely say a time frame. They probably don’t want to give a specific date so delays won’t happen and y’all won’t be outraged.
For real, all I ask is that they don’t ghost on us like this. If they need more time to review a rising number of apps that’s fine… I mean it’s annoying but I’d rather they do it right and thoroughly than quick and badly. But just TELL us when it will be out and then STICK to it.
I just don’t understand why they can’t figure out admissions like every other UC. Last year they messed up and had to rescind people. This year they kept putting out false estimates on when they are coming out, like really wth are they doing.

@gothic82 I applied to 9 schools: 7 UCs, 1 Calstate, 1 Private.
Students, I’m a parent. My son is waiting to hear from UCI as you are. I just wanted say a couple of things. First, I am sorry you are being inadvertently tortured by UCI, particularly those of you have not been offered admission into a UC, when UCI said they would release in early March and now still no release with a prospect of this dragging out even further. Torturous. Second, you all should be proud of your accomplishments regardless of what happens with UCI (or any place else). You had to have been a good to great student in high school to know that you were even competitive enough to apply to UC schools. So, I am here to tell you I am proud of all of you regardless of what happens, and I am sure other parents on here feel the same. Please try to take a deep breath about UCI and know that whatever happens, you still will be successful in your life…you just don’t have perspective to know that yet.
@gothic82 I applied to 11. 7 UCs and 4 privates. I’ve had no luck with any of the privates, but I’ve gotten accepted to every UC so far.
@Mitato It seems the UC values different things than privates do … I have the same problem … accepted to most of the UC’s (except UCLA, waitlist) but got the big L from all the big-name private schools I heard back from. Whatevers, they dont know what they’re missing :D.
@gothic82 I applied to 7 schools, Cal Poly Slo (Wailisted) UCSC (Waitlisted) SJSU (accepted) UCD (Rejected) now just waiting for UCI and CSULB! I do not want to go to SJSU so i’m praying for UCI and Long Beach to pull through
I applied to 14 lmao. And I’ve been accepted to two, still waiting for 7. Yay me ugh 
I applied to 13. UC-7, Accepted at 1, 1 waitlist, 2 Pending, denied at 3.
Privates 4 - Accepted at 3, denied at 1,
CS - 2, accepted at 2.
