***UC Irvine Class of 2022 Applicants***

@nohope7 what does urs say

Mine has questions asking what semester I will be attending, what my degree objective is, and if I want to cancel my financial aid

mine says that too

@nohope7 it has been there as well. I think it’s general and doesn’t mean anything.

Mine has said that for a while, I think I saw it like two weeks ago when I was just looking through all of the links on MyAid / the admissions page, I don’t really think it means much.

Mine says: Your financial aid records indicate that your housing plans are: On Campus - Residence Hall

Mine asks about degree objective and semester/housing too. Of course I didn’t check before just now because anxiety is all time high, but still, could it mean something? why would they ask that for everyone?

mine says off campus

Am I just tripping cuz my uci portal turned purple…I swear it was blue or something am I going crazy

everyone is going crazy right now…

It’s whatever you indicated on your fafsa. So they can plan how much you money you need and qualify for. Doesn’t mean anything

SMH ITS ALWAYS BEEN PURPLE LMAO

I think they are skipping this year…no freshman class this year…idk

They would go broke but ok

Does anyone know when they are releasing regular decisions? Based on the last couple years of release I would have thought it was last Friday.

From what I gathered (someone I know talked with admissions): First batch may start Friday and the rest will gradually come out before the end of the month. They are having issues right now and are trying their best to fix it. They were expecting to release on the 16th but couldn’t due to delays. They will all be out for sure by the end of March, don’t worry guys.

Hmmm…I think UCI gives us every reason to worry :(( :))

@plsUCI see all that many of us (well, at least myself) wanted this whole time is an official message by UCI that states what you just said. We would understand if they told us a while ago, “hey, we’re going through some unforeseen technical difficulties and because of this, decisions will be sent out later than expected. We believe that decisions will most likely start rolling this friday, the 23rd and continue throughout the rest of March.” And I’m sure that most of us here would think that’s reasonable! But we’ve gotten little feedback (a range of the 21st-31st on the oit website) from UCI admissions on this and it just sucks not having a clue of what’s happening

I second what @Chinciao said

They should’ve released the transfer decisions in April like most of the other UC’s and concentrated on releasing freshman decisions before the last week of March. They definitely didn’t list their priorities.
