My friend and I both received our admission notice Feb 22nd through the portal. We have been trying to get more information on the financial aid and were told everything is backlogged. We were told we will get an update on the portal when financial aid information is available.
On a side note, we have already received the full financial aid package details from UCLA.
Amen! I always say it takes much more self control to scroll past what you don’t like to see or don’t agree with then expend energy judging others and responding. Clearly we all shall continue doing exactly what we are doing so the point is not taken.
If you are annoyed, it is best just to stop reading entries for now. You have to allow people to vent. It is understandable given that their hopes and dreams of attending UCI, and in some cases attending any UC campus at all, hinges on UCI’s long-delayed decision.
They posted financial aid awards won’t be ready until mid April. How is our favorite school slipping like this?
Is it possible that it could come on tuesday (when they can’t roll it out for 5 days with 3 days acceptances, 1 day waitlists, and 1 day rejections ) instead of friday or monday?
no decision yet, but my screen was blue while it loaded and I got scared :))
My counselor has a friend that works in admission for Irvine and she said that they would be releasing admission by next week
@Estefania0901 Obviously it has to be by next week because it is the last week of March but the question is… what day??

She said most likely on Tuesday…but I said next week so that none of you could be stressing for the rest of this week bc it’s nerve wracking

My counselor asked her friend to see if I got in and she said that it was unethical so she didn’t tell us
Hopefully they release before my spring break so I can actually stop being an anxious freak.
I truly hope you are admitted Estefnia0901 but it is good that the friend did not tell your counselor if you were admitted; the friend could lose her job.
So the “My Aid Award” on the UCI financial login page means absolutely nothing and everyone got it… that’s strange.
@abigayan excuse me? look this a forum and this a thread for UCI. we are here to discuss what we think and how we feel like. we help each other by sharing stories, ideas and even worries. we are not annoying we are a sharing community. if you dont like all the comments you can just ignore them. people here have helped me through this overwhelming admission process and we have every right to complain or say what we want. you should understand what it feels like when it comes to dream schools and college admissions. if not, it means you’ve never been in this position.
Guys please keep sharing your feelings and even your anxiety, you dont have to worry, this is a forum. and I just want to take a moment to thank all of you for helping me get through this tough ‘college admission chapter’.
