No news here either. Just called UCI Admissions office, and was told that the notices are still rolling out. You will get an email when it’s your turn.
I dont think all the acceptances have come through. I have a few friends who are much stronger than me, and they have not recd. the acceptance in the same major.
I am sure we will see more acceptances coming through towards the end of day today (and perhaps tomorrow).

It made me feel a little better to know “it’s not us, it’s them.” I feel badly for all the seniors who relied on past outcomes in choosing where to apply however. My DD (waiting on UCI, SDSU and UCR still) has been disappointed with a number of rejections at colleges she should have had no difficulty getting into (historically). Waiting alongside all of you in solidarity! UCI is her first choice (bio sciences). Luckily she has SJSU, CPP, CSULA and Oregon if things don’t turn out well. Fingers crossed!

Has anyone been accepted or rejected for mechanical engineering? I know some people at my school who have been accepted into that major (same major I applied for). Is it a bad sign that I haven’t heard back from UCI yet? Been waiting a while. My friend received his acceptance on Sunday. Is there a certain time period where they release notices?

Mechanical engineering
GPA W :3.9 (upward trend of GPA. had a 3.1 second half of sophomore year. don’t know if UCs really care about this)
SAT: 1490 regular, 750 math 2
ACT: 31
AP Tests: WHAP 3, APUSH 4, Calc AB 5, Physics 3
Took 4 ap classes + 4 this year. 8 in total
EC: marching band, environmental, choir, musical in the past, and talent show(?)
Do I at least have a shot at getting accepted to UCI? My stats aren’t that great so im worried that not getting the acceptance on friday could mean that im not getting in. So far I got accepted to UCSB and UCR, rejected at UCD and Cal poly.
@SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 - CSULA was a safety, as we had local preference etc. and practically everyone from my DD’s high school gets in. I know a few who go to school there & are enjoying it. A friend is a prof in the College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology (in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering), and it is supposed to be quite strong in that Department, especially for women. It would be a contender for my DD - they have a great kinesiology program and that is her focus - but she is looking for something a little different in terms of campus vibe etc. (i.e. not wanting to go to a school that feels predominantly commuter in nature).
So not all acceptaces are out yet, right?
@Rottgrrl cause I applied there too as a safety school. I still didnt get my decision. however, I’m a film major. in your opinion, is it good for film? and best film schools you know? just your point of view
@UCIfirstchoice I don’t think all acceptances are in. Per my “sources”, they are still pending acceptances. First round was mostly acceptances and some wait lists/rejections. I believe all notifications will happen in the next 2-3 days.
