I heard UCI isn’t releasing admissions by major. I applied as an English Major and haven’t heard from them yet.

Guys I finally got into UCR today after so long, but I feel I’m going to get rejected by UCI because most of my friends in school heard back from them already 
I wonder if they’ll release more acceptance today.

honestly, the remaining of us might be majority comprised of waitlist and rejections. only a few more acceptances maybe. most of my friends already got their acceptance.
My S, D, and AH all got in on Friday so I’m all set but I’m praying for you guys!

someone on here said that only 2k of the decisions have been released so far, so what majority are you guys talking about, there’s only been one wave, a small one at that, so far
@BlizzardX there’s no way they released 2k out of the ~30k admissions. if so, they are incredibly behind and would be releasing admissions like constantly. remember that not everyone who is admitted choose to enroll, therefore the enrolling class would have around 5-6k freshmen but they would altogether admit 30k or so freshmen. from what i’ve heard and seen, i think the majority of 30k (20k) have been admitted already.

I don’t know if the 2k thing was right, but I don’t think the majority would be out already with only 1 wave. It would maybe be closer to 10k at least if they’re doing 3 waves overall, and since most of the people in humanities and social sciences majors haven’t gotten theirs yet, but i could be wrong. @teokiwang I don’t even think it’s by name or really by major directly but it seems like most of the people who said they got accepted are doing bio, business, engineering, and those majors? at least on cc
almost all the ppl on twitter who got in were for bio sci, comp sci, or public health sciences

@BlizzardX the whole 3 waves thing can be a total rumor, if they were truly doing 3 waves then we would be seeing acceptances today. anyhow, i’m just saying that it’s not entirely impossible they released the majority of the decisions on friday and is now just waiting if they accept/decline to see if they can enroll in more freshmen.
They probably only released the top 10% so far. Don’t know why it takes so long to send decisions though. Like obviously they have their decisions made they’re just being annoying
