Applied for Nursing and alternate Bio still no update on mine. There were people waitlisted for nursing yesterday. I don’t know anymore whether or not I’m accepted or rejected 
but today and tomorrow maybe the last two waves of acceptance unless if they go rejections before acceptance. I’ll take undeclared honestly.

@darnwaitlist true. I’ve been asking myself the same question ever since I submitted my application. also, I havent heard back from some other colleges yet. Some said they will tell me by the end of April?? (csula) I was like…in case I wanna go…how can I even wait til the end of april and make a decision by May 1?? this is complicated and I feel I’m still not ready to make a decision. I am still waiting and taking my time before the big step but I realize that there’s a little time left. Just imagine in case I could stand a waitlist or a decision by the end of april. Clearly, waitlists are just an illusion because out of a big amount of waitlisted students, only few will get out of it. My opinion is… that waitlists are just a way to prepare a student for rejection later.

I think UCI is releasing random admission decision. there are waitlists and acceptances and I’m pretty sure there have been some rejections too but they havent been mentioned. there is no logic because they are not admitting by major, or by last name or by stats, they are just sending random decision. this is for what I noticed.
we will have to wait less than a week I guess and then for sure we will know. stay focused amazing people!! xo
@Overthinker22 I too wish they would give an explanation to CA applicants that are waitlisted/denied that has above average Stats. D does not have high stats but her stats should get her in UCI from what I read. (UC weighted and capped GPA 4.14, W 4.4, ACT 31, 11 AP/Honors, EC) but looks like she will get rejection today. Very frustrating.
S applied. His sister is a junior there. Not holding out a lot of hope based on how it’s gone with the other UCs.

@CaliUSA7: Housing of some kind is necessary if you plan to attend but not mandatory to live on campus. If you are OOS, I recommend living on campus the first year to establish a friend group and then move off campus 2nd year if you wish.

Received an email this morning that my portal was updated. Can’t get the My Admissions thing to load. Anyone else having this problem? I’ve tried on multiple devices
Hi @Gumbymom, what is your theory on what UCI is doing? And if a student already SIRd at another UC, would UCI know that and would it affect their admissions decision?
