Still nothing here for today
Guys I just wanted to say that admissions get worse every year and they are tough and hard, we all know that. We’ve put a lot of effort in everything we have done and I just wanted to take a moment to remind us all that we’ve been ‘lucky’ to get in some colleges because I wouldnt take that for granted. We dont know what happens with admissions and I realized that some that apparently seemed safety school are not. So, we’re almost at the end of this roller coaster journey and I can say that 1) I understood that admissions do not define us 2) admissions are more complicated than I thought 3) it’s hard to claim a ‘safety school’ as per this year because admissions are weird 4) we dont actually know what happens in the admissions room 5) a lot of qualified people are torn apart 6) we’ve all put a great effort in our past years 7) rejections are heartbreaking but definetely not our worth 8) California system is one of the most prestigious and selective system in the US, that makes it harder for admissions 9) I’ve met amazing people on this forum and you all have helped me and contributed to my growth 10) everything will be ok because where we end up, it’ll be a great college
Hope this helps for everyone, like me, who is struggling.
There are many students who didnt get in any college this year and who will be ‘forced’ to attend a CC.
I was ‘lucky’ (considering how random and weird admissions work) to be accepted in the CSU system because I know there are tons of people who didnt make it this year.
So, if you got in 2-3 colleges, or even your ‘safety’ school, be happy and proud of all your accomplishments! I know you guys are great and will make a long way to success!

@PenelopeD thanks for what you said! At time goes by, I’m focusing on things that really matter and whatever college I’ll end up in, I’ll be happy. When I was little I could never think I could do all this. It was a dream to go study in Cali. Now that I got this dream and I got into college I have to take a moment to think how it all started and where I’m headed. Still waiting on UCI, but we’ve all been brave just to try and apply to these prestigious colleges. Many people dont do that. So we should be happy just for the fact we applied and not getting is doesnt define our worth!!! Anyway, still waiting to hear from UCI and few others and then we’re done

The campus is awesome but the city itself is a bit boring. It is like a city for retirement. The best thing in irvine is its restaurants.

3.95 Weighted GPA
1470 SAT (730 Reading, 740 Math)
Decent amount of out of school activities but only one club in school
Major: Economics

Deepite negativity about reputation, we were very impressed with ASU when we visited. Definitely gave her something to think about.

There’s still today and tomorrow left for admissions and it’s not just rejections left. I called the admissions office yesterday and they said it’s all randomized so don’t give up guys ^^
