@keeks2018 Being a girl applying to CS would probably be somewhat beneficial, but being out of state might cancel it out. The difference between UCSC and UCI is big enough that being accepted to SC isn’t a super good indicator of your chances to UCI.

Can someone explain to me the benefits/job occupation of being in a CS major? I didn’t apply to CS, I’m More into the medical field/science, but I’m seeing so many people wanting to go to CS.

Around 20 students in D’s school admitted to UC Davis. Yet other UCs accepted few. They are internationals.
For those of you asking about the implications getting into one UC might have on your chances at UCI, I can guarantee you that getting into one UC doesn’t mean anything for a different UC. I was waitlisted at Davis, accepted to UCSD, and denied by UCLA.

Got waitlisted at Cal Poly SLO and UCSC, dejected aT UCD, accepted at San Jose State… still waiting on Long Beach and UCI!!! I have TONS of extracurriculars (Presidential Service Award, Student Government, Moot Court, three sports, and jobs!)… but kind of low stats with an UW GPA of 3.56 and W GPA of 4.02 , SAT score at 1340!! really hoping for good news at UCI and Long Beach (but really hoping to get off the waitlist at CAL poly)

im so anxious i applied for electrical eng (fem in state 1470, uc gpa: 3.88) and got rejected at davis and waitlisted at ucsd. waitiiiing for irvine!!
My D’s portal went back to what it looked like before the weekend started.

Well you might as well all wait until the 21st since they now state it wont be released until after the 20th

@SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 I believe there is a portal for CSULB, I got accepted there but when I applied they did send me an email telling me to set up a portal. Search up on your email the “We have received your application” email and it should tell you.
@camiemartinez aren’t UCR decisions already out?? I got my admission email on March 6th. Maybe check spam(as they notify by email)?
I checked my spam, but it doesn’t show anything from them 
My portal still says my application is still being considered :((
