***UC Irvine Class of 2022 Applicants***

@SmartGurl17 In state students have priority over oos. Internationals have the added burden of toefl scores and must demonstrate ability to pay without financial aid for the visa but are otherwise treated as oos.

I can’t wait until the 20th!

Does getting rejected by UCD, UCSD, and UCLA also foreshadow my chances at UCI, UCSB, and UCB? Or are the admission processes for each school different? I’m a wreck for UCB right now :frowning:

@oopsycorgi UCD decision this year is whack. UCSD and UCLA are tend to be the harder ones to get into. I know UCI accepts many lower tier applicants and many low income, but also depends on your major. Alotttttt of people chose CS this year, and idk it was a good choice for many applicants.

How competitive is Sociology? I put my major as Sociology for UCD, UCSD, and UCLA yet I got rejected. :frowning: Does anyone know how competitive Sociology is for UCB, UCI, and UCSB?

@SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 yeah I got accepted to Cal state LA and San Bernardino for Pre-nursing, got accepted to CSU Fullerton for bio because I didn’t qualify for the nursing and I was rejected from Long Beach, I think mainly due to the major chosen which was again nursing. Did you apply to any Calstates?

@SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 If i get rejected from UCI then I’ll have to chose UCR because it has medical school or Calstate Fullerton since it has a nursing school.

@coldtofu congrats! yes I applied to CSU as well, even though I prefer UC, it is way more prestigious.
I got accepted to CSUN. I guess that’s a great school isnt it?

Waiting to hear from : Cal state LA, Cal State Long Beach, San Diego State, Sacramento State

Did Long Beach decisions come out? Mine is still pending!

https://www.oit.uci.edu/service-alert/a-note-to-undergraduate-applicants-attempting-to-check-their-admission-status/

“The UCI Office of Admissions have not completed their review of all undergraduate applications. They will start sending decision emails after March 20, so please check back when you receive the email.”

@SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 CSU Long Beach decisions are out. I got mine on Feb 15.

@SmartGurl17 wait what?? How can I find out my decision? I didnt get any email and there’s no portal for LB, how can I do?

I’m an out of state student and was accepted to UCSC for CS, I’m applying to UCI for CS as well, do my odds look good because I was accepted to UCSC or is it hard to tell? I’m not sure if it makes a difference but I’m also a girl applying to CS

My son also was accepted to UCSC and San Jose State for Computer Science.
He got rejected by Cal Poly SLO, and UCSD, WL at Davis
UC GPA 4.27
SAT 1400
instate.
Waiting for UCI and UCSB. Did not apply to Berkeley and UCLA.

@SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 I think decisions are rolling, so you might know sooner or later. Call them up if you don’t receive by end of March.

@SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 Some applicants like myself are still waiting for CSULB. They sent an email saying that they are not done reviewing applicants and can take up to April for the rest of the decisions to Be released. Most likely we were put on the waitlist cause of our major.

@orionary I dont know how to contact them, they dont answer emails! Do you know their reachable email address?

@SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 I haven’t heard back from San Diego State either and don’t know when they’re sending decisions

@SmartGurl17 this is getting stressful. When are they going to reply…
Long beach sounds like a cool college am I right?

@SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 I don’t think it’s useful to email them at this point if we are both on the same boat for CSULB. They would say, “we are still pending decisions and expect it to be released By April.”

Their email is: es-admit@csulb.edu

@gothic82 I know, it depends on the person. We are all on the same boat. i heard some students heard back from sdsu. For example sacramento state said that I should give them additional 3-4 weeks til the come put with a decision.
