D24 got rejected from UCI with 4.6W 4.0UW and 8AP. But she got Early Acceptance from UCSC UCR UCM and UCD for her proposed Biochemistry major. She is still waiting for UCSD UCLA UCSB and UCB

Anyone got honors? Wonder if those have been sent out yet. Comparing to scholarships, honors (CHC) is more important to us as it gives priority registration privilege.

Did you activate your portal?

Congratulations to your son!

UC Davis and UC Irvine are two very different schools from a social/cultural perspective. Many times one is a better fit than the other and admissions knows that.

Hi,

Portal has been activated, but I still can’t see my decision there. Is it possible that UCI is releasing in waves, and my decision wasn’t a part of yesterday’s wave. Or were all decisions released last night?

They should have all been released yesterday for incoming freshman students. Good luck!!

As stated all decisions were posted yesterday.

Thank you, I was probably looking at the wrong place, and I’ll need to recheck my portal then!

Honors option is available on UCI portal (one of top level tabs). My D24 got CHC option.

Congratulations! Well, guess we didn’t make CHC then. Would gladly give up the scholarship for CHC if given the option. This is a bummer.

Where do you Regents information in admitted portal?

Congratulations!

Is CHC a rectangular button on the top right? If so, it is a similar layout to the past and Regents would be just above it.

Your student can apply for CHC during winter quarter of their 1st or 2nd year.

For UCI, course priority enrollment windows are assigned in this order.

  1. Disabled
  2. Academic Programs: Campuswide Honors Collegium (CHC), Summer Bridge
  3. Athletes
  4. Military
  5. Foster Youth/Former Foster Youth
  6. Student Parents

As stated by @lkg4answers

From the picture @neuro shared in post 177, it looks like they changed where they indicate CHC and Regents. My guess is that Regents would be listed in that Honors button as well.

For Fall 2024, Regents may need to participate in CHC in order to receive priority registration. On this page, it says Regents from Fall 2023 and prior receive priority registration. It doesn’t say anything about Regents for Fall 2024.
