UCI does not give advance notice on when they will posting decisions.

No, they will not tell you over the phone. You have to wait until UCI releases the decisions probably sometime this week.
I’m as anxious and nervous regarding UCI admissions as you. Nobody knows the exact decision release date except UCI Admissions, so what you heard out there are most likely rumors. Besides, if I don’t recall incorrectly, UCI only released decision on Fridays in the past years. Based on the past years, UCI most likely will release its admission decisions this Friday 03/14/25 at around 3PMish or 5PMish. Let’s hope it will come true this Friday 03/14/25!

UCI received more than 122,0000 plus applications each year, so it would not be practical and/or feasible for UCI Admissions to answer phone calls regarding admissions decisions during March, instead they would use a push approach to push out admissions decisions to the Applicant Portal instead of a pull admissions decisions approach via phone, email or in-person.
From what I saw on these boards, for HS class of 2021 the decision was released on Thurs, 3/11, for '22 it was Fri 3/18, '23 it was Fri 3/17, for '24 it was Fri 3/8.

I’m not sure that’s nice. This person was just posting something they saw on reddit. The original poster on Reddit is the culprit here.

If the student submitted the SIR for the accepted Alternate Major Choice, does UCI still automatically place the student on the Waitlist for the First Major Choice?

Yes, they do data for everything including
by majors for 2024 but not by Source School.
