Irvine by a mile.

I’ll bet you the student quality at SJSU is much higher than what you will find in Riverside. Riverside is arguably the worst state school in California.

Go to Irvine and enjoy yourself. Irvine has excellent facilities.

MrPrince: Riverside is not arguably the worst state school in California. There are plenty of schools in the Cal State system that are far, far worse.

I would say it is. Riverside is the 4th UC created. It had plenty of time before UC Davis, Irvine, and UCSD were created to rise. But now it’s considered the lowest UC (without regarding Merced since Merced was just created 3 years ago).

I’d easily say SJSU, Santa Rosa, and SDSU are better than UCR

I would also say those schools are better than UCR, but those are not the only Cal State schools. Cal State LA, Cal State San Bernardino, etc. are probably worse places to be.
